| Crack Repair | Repairing cracks in concrete slabs and floors before further treatment | Crack Fix Polyurea, Crack Fix Polyurea Gun & Nozzle |
| Moisture Barriers & Primers | Blocking rising damp and improving surface adhesion before coating | Moisture Proof, Mapei Planiseal MR, Eco Prim T Plus, Eco Prim Grip |
| Densifiers & Curing Compounds | Hardening and protecting freshly poured or ground concrete | Densi-Treat, Densi Crete, Cure & Seal |
| Cleaning & Degreasing | Preparing concrete surfaces before sealing or coating | Xylene Thinners, WB2 Alkaline Cleaner |
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a concrete moisture barrier and do I need one?
A moisture barrier is applied to concrete before coating to stop rising damp or trapped moisture from pushing up through the surface and causing a coating to blister or fail. It's generally recommended for slabs on ground level, especially in older or previously uncoated concrete.
What's the difference between a self-levelling compound and a levelling compound?
Both are used to flatten an uneven concrete surface before flooring or coating. Self-levelling compounds are more fluid and spread out on their own with minimal tooling, making them suited to larger, flatter areas, while levelling/patching compounds are thicker and better suited to filling smaller dips, holes or transitions.
How do I choose the right concrete degreaser or cleaner?
The right product depends on what's on the surface. Oil, grease and general workshop or garage contamination generally calls for a dedicated degreaser, while broader surface preparation before sealing or coating is better suited to an alkaline cleaner. Get in touch with our team if you're not sure which is right for your job.
What does a concrete densifier do?
A densifier reacts with the concrete to harden and strengthen the surface, reducing dusting and improving resistance to wear. It's commonly used on polished or ground concrete floors to lock in the finish.
Do I need to cure new concrete, and what's a curing compound?
Yes — freshly poured concrete needs to cure slowly to reach its full strength. A curing compound is applied to the surface to slow moisture loss during this process, helping prevent cracking and improving the long-term durability of the slab.
